Keep Going Strong: Ellen x Miltti
Share
In March 2025, Miltti celebrated International Women’s Month by honoring the voices of immigrant women who move through the world with strength, style and purpose.
One of those women is Ellen Vic, a Brazilian living in the U.S. for 25 years, who shares her deeply personal story of transformation after a life-changing diagnosis — and how fashion became a form of power and healing.

When the World Stops
Four years ago, Ellen was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease — an incurable, progressive condition that abruptly altered the rhythm of her life.
“When I got that news, my world stopped.”
Far from Brazil, Ellen faced not just a health challenge, but the isolation of distance. Yet in that pause, she found her way forward — through knowledge, awareness, and inner strength.
Redefining Strength Through Purpose
Ellen’s story isn’t just about Parkinson’s. It’s about how we choose to respond when life reshapes us. For her, learning about her condition became a path to empowerment.
“What gave me strength was going in search of knowledge.
This has been a transformative process.”
She began to rebuild her identity not around what she couldn’t control, but around what she could: how she sees herself, how she feels, and how she presents herself to the world.
Fashion That Means Something
For Ellen, fashion used to be about appearance. Now, it’s about meaning.
“Today I see fashion as a form of expression.
It’s not enough to feel — you have to touch. It has to mean something.”
Her connection with Miltti comes from that same place: fashion that is conscious, inclusive, and made for real people.
“When it comes with a brand like Miltti — a conscious brand —
getting dressed becomes an attitude.”

Her Message to Women
“To you, woman, who is also facing your challenges:
Never stop feeling beautiful, alive, authentic.
Dress in your true self.
Wear your story with pride.”
Ellen’s words remind us that strength isn’t the absence of difficulty — it’s the presence of meaning in how we keep moving.
“We always find a way to keep going.
I choose to keep going strong.”
